Global Wisdom - Webinar

What type of animal is your boss?

Time: Wednesday 16 July, 6.00pm AEST

Cost: $50.00 (INCL GST)

We care for them every day and know their moods, but here is your opportunity to understand their inner animal, and perhaps even your own with Arthur Shelley, author of The Organizational Zoo: A Survival Guide to Workplace Behaviour. This enjoyable learning event introduces you to an array of animal metaphors characterizing behavioural types common in your “Organizational Zoo”.

The metaphorical characters stimulate productivity by enabling participants to read people better, understand how to influence them, build better relationships and leverage diversity of the group. The metaphors can also be useful for the selection and development of the right “characters” for business roles and ensuring the right balance of behaviours in teams. Understanding the animal profiles helps people to work together more effectively and ensure your animals are in the most appropriate roles to shine.

About the Presenter

Arthur Shelley is an engaging and entertaining speaker who uses fun animal metaphors to understand working relationships. He enjoys sharing the lessons and comedy of workplaces and projects in his presentations and workshops based on the characters form his recent book, The Organizational Zoo A Survival Guide to Workplace Behavior.

Audiences quickly identify with the Zoo characters and are drawn to interact with other participants sharing humorous stories about their own workplace behaviours and relationships. Arthur uses the Zoo characters to engage and influence stakeholders, for development of team members and help people to work together more effectively. He facilitates workshops to build individual and team capabilities, including co-located and virtual teams. His sense of fun and tongue in cheek style engages audiences, who soon find themselves enjoying observing the animals all around them. You will leave with a new perspective of how to better interact in your Zoo and operate in a less stressful and more productive way in your work environment (and elsewhere).

Just a note to thank you for facilitating such a wonderful day of learning and networking on Saturday at the Assertiveness & Conflict Management Workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have already put into practise my learning, where needed so far. I look forward to participating in another workshop soon and seeing you again. Kind regards Katie George - Arup

Thank you so much for a lovely and constructive Saturday. I really enjoyed myself and got so much out of it. This was particularly useful to me in my current situation as well. Can't wait for the next one - it won't come soon enough, particularly if we are going to have the topics proposed. Warmest regards Marjorie Teoh - Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
